South Dakota singer/songwriter, Tommy Edwin, has released a song and music video marking the 60th anniversary of the JFK assassination. The music video for the song, “Radio On,” contains footage from the Archives at the JFK Presidential Library and Museum. JFK was assassinated 60 years ago on November 22nd, 1963. It was a defining moment when the world began to change. Just months later, the Beatles debuted on the Ed Sullivan Show. At that moment, Tommy Edwin was living in Germany while his father was stationed there in the Air Force. The Song, “Radio On,” reflects on the momentous time.

“Radio On” was recently released as a single on the major music streaming platforms. Additionally, the official music video was released on Facebook and YouTube. The song and music video were recorded and produced by James Steffen at Bassment Rock Media in Sioux Falls, SD. The single features Edwin on vocals and acoustic guitar.

Edwin, who is based in Brookings, SD, took the plunge to pursue music professionally after retiring from his position as a university professor. He performs at venues in the surrounding region and features his original songs.
